Disposable L.O.R. Syringe
Disposable plastic syringe with extra-low resistance
It is a disposable syringe for confirming the epidural space using the Loss of Resistance Method (LOR). Compared to glass syringes, made for the same purpose, this syringe enables the LOR procedure with a comparable feel. In addition, there is no risk of breakage unlike glass syringes, and no need for separating them at disposal.
Note: The LOR syringe is not a device for injecting drugs.

Low Resistance
Our original design of the gasket has realized low resistance, which is essential for LOR syringes despite being made of plastic. The gasket and plunger have an appropriate amount of play to prevent airtight failure even when the plunger slides.
Gasket
Its uniquely designed gasket has two valves to provide not only low resistance but also excellent airtightness, thus ensuring stable performance for both injection and aspiration.
It can be used with either air or saline in LOR procedures.
Roundness
The polypropylene (PP) syringe body ensures stable quality through strict molding control and inspection of all parts in the assembly process.
The roundness of the cross section is equivalent to that of glass syringes.
Low Resistance
Unisis disposable LOR syringes are designed to confirm that the needle tip is positioned in the epidural space.
For this reason, the LOR syringe is required to have low resistance when the plunger starts to slide.
Our syringes consist of a uniquely designed gasket and a barrel with high roundness by careful process control. Therefore, they have low friction performance approaching that of glass syringes.
