An anesthesia needle for CSEA with a simple mechanism and reliable results

When performing combined spinal and epidural anaesthesia, a single puncture can reduce the patient's burden, improve quality of life and reduce the risk of infection.
However, spinal epidural combined anesthesia needles tend to be complex and costly.
Unisis pursues precision machining and simple configulation to ensure certain anesthetic effects and reliability at an affordable price.

Center Pass-Hole Type

Back-Eye(Pass Hole) is ideally located to allow smooth insertion of Spinal Needle even at the first time of usage. Also, the spinal needle protrudes in a straight line with respect to the epidural needle, ensuring puncture of the subarachnoid space with the spinal needle.

Center Pass-Hole Type

Simple locking system

Unisis pursued inexpensive and simple structure. It consists of a simple docking connector, which is adjusted to a pre-set protrusion length at the time of docking.

Low resistance

Most combined needles used in the CSE method are designed such that the spinal needle passes through the epidural needle and the spinal needle is punctured into the spinal subarachnoid space through a through hole in the epidural anesthesia needle.
In reality, however, it is extremely unlikely that a spinal needle protrudes through the through hole, and it often bends and protrudes from the bevel surface of the epidural needle, causing failure of the dural puncture.
Our center-pass hole type of epidural anesthesia needles are designed to accurately pass through the back eye, and this technology has been registered under #06-044549 of the Practical New Ideas of the Japan Patent Office.
