Reduction of pain
Generally, the finer a needle is, the less pain a patient feels. It is commonly known that there are 10 to 20 pain spots per 1㎟ over skin surface of adults, and it is possible to reduce feeling of pain by avoiding the pain spots at puncture. The atraumatic microneedle of Unisis is very thin (31G and 34G) and enables puncture with less chance to stimulate the pain spots.
In addition, capillaries under the skin surface can be avoided at puncture, it is less likely to cause internal bleeding than common needles.
Reduction of puncture resistance
The needle has a sharp tip with Lancet point.
Because the microneedle is much thinner than conventional needles, it has lower puncture resistance and can reduce patients’ pain.
